Hours/Days of Week:
1st Shift M-F 7:30am-4:00pm
Saturday half day OT is possible
Qualifications:
- Stable work history
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Lots of repetitive hand work sorting metal off shaker screen
Physical Requirements:
Physical job demands include but are not limited to: bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, twisting, reaching over head, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds, and climbing ladders or stairs.
Job Descriptions:
- Sorts processed scrap material as it moves along a conveyor in accordance with product specifications. Puts non-conforming items and trash into designated containers.
- Performs preventive and routine maintenance on shear and shredder conveyors.
- Assists with major maintenance on conveyors and other equipment.
- Moves the stacking conveyor to the proper location for the type of scrap being prepared.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
