Job Description
Client is seeking to hire a CDL driver with Class A license and tanker endorsements (hazmat NOT required). The driver hired must be reliable, trustworthy, and honest as we are hauling our own cargo delivering to customers we care about.
Client home office is based in Henderson, KY.
Most deliveries are 3-4 days (2-3 overnights) long depending on the route/delivery schedule. Most runs are scheduled to leave Monday mornings, but occasionally loads are dispatched on the following day so the driver can get a full legal day of driving before being required by law to go off duty. Most runs will have 2-5 deliveries.
Pay will start out between 40-50 cents/mile port to port, depending on experience and qualifications. If all criteria is met (and continued) for a minimum of 2 months, we may pay up to an additional $0.02-$0.04/mile as a following guidelines bonus as well as growth opportunities.
Any employee of client is required to be respectful and gracious with our customers. Client customers are the end user with no middle man in between, so the relationships with our customers are very valuable to our business. We pride ourselves on giving superb customer service, as most of our advertising is done by word of mouth!
Client`s drivers are expected to run a legal, truthful log book according to DOT laws and regulations. Drivers are also expected to make fuel stops according to pre-determined stopping points specified in house by the transportation department. Truck fluids are to be checked and topped off (if required) daily and tires are to be checked at every stop. It is the responsibility of the driver to keep the inside of the trucks cabin clean.
Drivers must have prior experience and basic knowledge of running a fluid transfer pumping system in order to deliver our admixtures. A qualified candidate must supply a copy of a valid Class A drivers license, have held a CDL license for a minimum of 2 years, and be able to pass a background check and a drug test.
