Job Description
Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer!
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include but not limited to:
Responsible for developing manufacturing processes that ensure product meets customer drawings and specifications. Requires knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials.
- Reviews customer drawings, CAD Models, specifications and plans manufacturing processes to meet these requirements.
- Creates Manufacturing Operation Routing Instructions using Word and PDF
- Creates Routings for jobs utilizing the Epicor ERP system
- Programs various types of machines (lasers, water jet, welding robots, CNC machining centers)
- Designs tooling (laser fixtures, weld fixtures, processing aids, and templates)
- Develops detailed drawings for manufacturing floor and supplier processes using NX CAD/CAM Unigraphics software
- Works with suppliers
- Trouble shoots/problem solves any manufacturing problem
- Determines disposition of non-conformances/develops repairs
- Develops processes/experiments/trials
- Certifies Welders and Weld quality
- Trains operators
- Performs design reviews/determines manufacturability
- Participates in new process development
- Creates and maintains accurate documentation of manufacturing operating routing instructions, part routings, tool fixture drawings, design concepts, and concepts in accordance with the quality engineering function
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in MS Office
- CAD experience
- Outstanding communication skills
- Able to adapt to change quickly and efficiently
- Good knowledge of manufacturing concepts
- Ability to grasp modern technology and processes quickly
- Must be a team player, with ability to work with all levels of the organization
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Hands on attitude
This position is full time with salary. Day shift minimum of 8 hours. At least 3-5 years experience in manufacturing and/or engineering desired. Knowledge of Unigraphics program is a plus. Knowledge of EPICOR or EPICOR-type ERP system is a plus. Experience with CNC machines desired. Background in metal manufacturing a plus.
