Job Description

Metal Sorter $16

Hours/Days of Week:
1st Shift M-F 7:30am-4:00pm (FIRST DAY-MUST BE THERE BY 7AM!)
Saturday half day OT is possible

Qualifications: 
  • Need to have stable work history
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Lots of repetitive hand work sorting metal off shaker screen
Physical Requirements: 
Physical job demands include but are not limited to: bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, twisting, reaching over head, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds, and climbing ladders or stairs.

Job Descriptions:
  • Sorts processed scrap material as it moves along a conveyor in accordance with product specifications. Puts non-conforming items and trash into designated containers.
  • Performs preventive and routine maintenance on shear and shredder conveyors.
  • Assists with major maintenance on conveyors and other equipment. 
  • Moves the stacking conveyor to the proper location for the type of scrap being prepared.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area.
